CLASSICAL MISFIT

CLASSICAL MISFIT

Classical misfit, that’s one way I would describe my style. Sometimes I’ll dress modest, other times I’ll go edgy, but most of the time I’ll end up merging these two opposing styles. If you ask me, I think the modern mix of pearls, skulls, and studs was a brilliant idea. I may be twenty years old now, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop experimenting with my style any time soon. Thanks to accessorizing, I’ll always be able to get my classical vibes from pearls, and my misfit vibes from skulls.

After thinking about the type of content I’ve been delivering to my audience lately, I’ve decided to make a few changes with my future blog posts. So, instead of writing paragraphs of what you can expect from Bumbleweek, I’ll just get to the point.
Bumbleweek will deliver ideas that’ll encourage you to think, believe, and try.
  • Fashion content will encourage you guys to experiment and play around with your style.
  • Lifestyle content will encourage you to expand on your thinking and open your eyes to different ideas.
  • Everything Else content will tap into topics of food, travel, and mini research projects, like #GirlBoss.

Altogether, I’ll try to keep all of my posts short and simple because I don’t want to take too much time out of your guys’ busy lives. Thanks for reading, and I hope to have you all back here for next week.

Be ready to roll with the punches!
Okay so I’m the last person who should be talking about staying caffeinated. I’ll never understand why I’m always captured by the beautiful aroma of coffee, yet I absolutely cannot stand the taste of it. I’m guessing that it because I’m still not mature enough for it, right? Anyways, I finally had the time to sit down and read a small portion of #GirlBoss and I absolutely loved it. First, let me just say that Sophia Amoruso’s sense of humor instantly drew me in during her introduction. So you may ask, how do I become a girl boss? Well, the first step to become a girl boss is to always be ready to take on the world. Okay, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic, but you know what I mean. With exams and homework, I’ll usually drain myself and I’ll end up dozing off during one of my classes. It’s bananas for others to believe that I’ll always be ready to take one the world. I mean, how can someone always be ready, if the majority of students/workers usually get less that eight hours of sleep? The answer is caffeine! If you’re anything like me, substitute coffee for chocolate or tea. Just remember to limit the amount of chocolate you have so you can avoid any unfortunate breakouts. Also, please try and STAY AWAY from energy drinks, or cut down on them. Sure one might be alright, but you don’t want to become too dependent on these type of drinks. Remember, girl boss/guy boss’ are independent. All in all, if you’re ever struggling to stay awake, caffeinate yourself with healthy options. And most of all, sleep as much as you can so you’ll wake up ready to take on the world.
P.S. Don’t overdue it with the caffeine. I’m definitely not a nutritionist, but I’m pretty sure that too much of it can’t be healthy.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! Then again, this saying may only apply to those over the age of 21. So, what does one do if they’re still not of legal age to have the full Vegas experience?

Go shopping! Oh my goodness, if you’re ever in Vegas, you guys seriously need to visit the Fashion Show Mall. I’m going to sound a little materialistic, but now I know what love at first sight feels like after I setting foot inside this mall. Also let’s face it, unless you live in a huge city, not all of your favorite shops will be within 10 miles of where you live. In my unfortunate experience, there are no Topshop or ZARA shops here in Reno, so shopping in Vegas is always a must.

Enjoy the sights. Thanks to the hotels and casinos down in L.V., you’ll be able to get a little taste of Italy, Paris, and New York City all at once. Anytime between sunset and sunrise, the Vegas experience will starts to set in. Lights will begin to glow from all directions, and they’ll eventually create multiple paths for you to follow. Soon, everywhere you turn, you’ll see some type of show that’ll capture your attention. And before you know it, the streets will be swarmed with music, laughter, and camera lights.

Don’t forget the pictures! How else are you going to prove that you got to live a little of that Vegas experience? Take a moment and capture some of those memories you’ll be making while you’re down there. Have a friend take a quick snap of you as you’re strolling down those eventful streets. Sure there may be some judgement from some people who don’t understand the need for selfies, but that doesn’t matter because you’ll most likely never run into these people ever again. So, don’t be ashamed of carrying around a selfie stick, or taking a quick picture of your food.

STYLE ISSUES: 10 MINUTE OUTFITS

STYLE ISSUES: 10 MINUTE OUTFITS

Books, Starbucks, and good looking backpacks, these are only a few items that get college student through the day. I may be superficial for saying this, but the appearance of a backpack is important. Listen, I love the feeling I get out of wearing an amazing outfit, but I also love the feeling I get when I get a good grade on an exam. Unfortunately, some days I don’t have enough time to pick out an outfit, so I end up grabbing random items from my closet. Just like bad hair days, bad outfit days exist too. So you may ask, how can I avoid this type of fashion faux pas? The answer is, find an appealing backpack! This way, all the attention will  be drawn to your backpack, and your outfit will most likely be overshadowed. Also, pick a backpack that matches your everyday style, so it won’t be too obvious that you’re trying to cover up your outfit. School is stressful, so don’t torture yourself if you can’t put together an awesome outfit in 10 minutes. Instead, look for a backpack that will save you from having another bad outfit day.
